Stampin' & Scrappin' Momma

Back AGAIN!

I know this isn't a good start to the New Year where I said I was going to post to my blog on a regular basis but I have a good excuse.  My computer crashed and I actually had to get a new hard drive and lost A LOT of stuff.  Thanks goodness I was able to recover ALL of my pictures.  Over 11GB for you techies out there, lol.

With all that free time on my hands without a computer (a whole week)  I actually got a lot done so I will be posting more often.

My new/old obsession is scrapbooking again.  Here is a page I completed last week.  My good friend Jen had 2 pieces of this water color 12x12 paper and I sat and painstakingly colored it in and daubered around the edges using Pink Pirouette ink.

 I added rhinestones to the butterfly's wings (down at the bottom left).  I stamped on some twill ribbon from Stampin Up! with a set called Warm Words.  I found adorable journaling pages (the half circle) and added rhinestones to the edges (do you see a pattern here).  This is a random picture I took of my girls actually being nice to each other.

Journaling has always been hard for me but with this layout it came easy.  Here it is:

Walk into my house on any given day and you WON'T see Ava & Jillian being this nice to each other. But this beautiful June afternoon was different.  Maybe it was the weather, maybe they realized playing was better than fighting.  Whatever it was it was really nice to see them together.  One day hopefullly they will realize how much they need & love each other and these days won't be so few and far between. 

I finally scrapbooked!

I have to say ever since I started going to crops I haven't scrapped at home. I have accumulated TOO MUCH stuff not to enjoy my favorite hobby.  So yesterday I sat down and got to work.  Here's the out come.  I have to say I think it came out pretty cute.

Whew!!!

Now that the holidays are finally over maybe I can get back on track.  I don't make resolutions but I do like to start new.  So with year along with trying to losing some weight (don't we all say the same thing) I'm going to try and keep up with my blog.

I have had the "Loves you much" bundle in my house for I don't know how long and I haven't gotten around to "playing" with it.

Here is my first attempt at anything.  I really like the paper and I loved how it looked like it was stitched, so I tried to mimic that on the main image.

I started out with a Chocolate Chip base and added the Designer Series paper from the Loves Me Much Bundle.

I stamped the birds from the stamp set included but the heart on the stamp (between the birds) wasn't big enough for me so I punched a heart using our new heart punch... oh la la, I love it! (sorry I got carried away)

I used my mat pack to evenly space the holes for the faux stitching and added the stitching using my Chocolate Chip marker.  I added a little Riding Hood Red around the heart, attached it with a dimentional and finished it off with Riding Hood Red taffeta ribbon.  Quick and easy.  This card took all of 15 minutes!  TFL!
